The story of the artwork
A painting that evokes the Grand Mosque as a space where inner noise dissolves before outer sound. We do not seek to document the place as much as we approach its state—where mass and void, light and material, stand in a balance that mirrors the human presence before a sanctity beyond description. The reading of the work shifts with the change of viewing angle, just as a visitor’s relationship with the place changes each time they return to it, offering a contemplative experience that reflects the grandeur of the Grand Mosque not through its crowds, but through its deep, silent presence.
